It is being reported that Disney Channel is making a live-action version of Kim Possible and if it is true, I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Kim Possible began its run in the summer of 2002 right before I was going to start first grade at The Adda Clevenger School in downtown San Francisco. I lived on the East Bay but my parents decided to send me to school in downtown San Fran because at my kindergarten graduation I announced to the school that my career goal was to be an ice cream truck driver, but I digress.
As you remember, Kim Possible was about a "typical" high school girl who saved the world in her spare time. She had a guy sidekick who had a naked mole rat named Rufus while her main adversaries were Drakken and Shego.
What made the show so cool back in the day was the language... we were all saying things like "What's the sitch?" and "So not the drama" to our parents, who of course thought we were nuts! The other cool thing for us girls is that the girls on the show ruled! Kim was the star, of course, but Shego was cool with her intelligence (far more than Drakken) and her sarcasm. The two were almost the first role models I had!
Who can say if they will screw up the live-action version? But the idea of this brought back the memories!
